ABOUT THE METHOD
The SHS (Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis) technology, developed in Russia, is used to produce composite ferroalloys by igniting precursors in a nitrogen environment. This process results in the formation of nitrided ferroalloys, such as ferrosilicon nitride or ferrochromium nitride.
Nitrided alloys are used as alloying additives for various steels, and for the production of refractories, coatings, catalysts, and welding materials. This technology enables energy savings and processing of metallurgical waste into valuable products.
