NFCr® — ALLOYING MATERIAL
NFCr® — Nitrided Ferrochrome
FERROCHROME NITRIDE
Base alloys used for nitrogen alloying of stainless steels. Ferrochrome nitride is used for making a wide range of stainless steels
ABOUT THE MATERIAL

Purpose: Alloying of corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant steels with nitrogen (Cr-Mn, Cr-Mn-Ni systems, special steels, and superalloys)
Effect: Increased strength/corrosion resistance, stable nitrogen absorption during ladle deoxidation
Form factors Lump/sinter, powder; custom-made to client requirements

Widely used in metallurgy to improve the properties of stainless steel by introducing nitrogen. This material is a combination of iron and chromium with high nitrogen content, providing unique characteristics to the final product

PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Corrosion-resistant steels with Cr-Mn and Cr-Mn-Ni bases:
12Kh17G9AN4 (EI 878), 05Kh16N5AB (EK172), 03Kh17AN9, AISI 200 series steels, and others for multipurpose applications - weather-resistant building structures, household appliances and kitchenware, food production equipment, etc.
Heat-resistant and refractory steels:
15Kh17AG14 (EP 213), 10Kh14AG15 (DI-13), 12Kh25N16G7AR (EI835), 55Kh20G9AN4 (EP303), 55Kh20N4AG9B (EP303B)
High-strength steels:
12Kh18AG18 for manufacturing turbine-type generator bands
Super stainless steels:
With high corrosion resistance in seawater conditions, used in manufacturing ship components, oil platforms, etc.
Steels for manufacturing tanker containers:
For transporting liquefied gas, such as 04Kh20N6G11M2AFB
Nickel-chromium superalloys
