The blast furnace tuyere is one of the key components of blast furnaces. It is used to supply natural gas and hot blast air into the furnace. The blast temperature can reach 1200-1300 degrees Celsius, necessitating forced water cooling of the walls. For this purpose, the tuyere design includes water inlet and outlet connections.
Cooling is achieved by water circulating in channels within the tuyere walls, which removes heat and prevents damage from the high temperatures of iron smelting. These elements are critical for the longevity of the blast furnace, as they operate under extreme thermal conditions and experience wear, requiring regular replacement.
